@kylegriffin1 So what John Roberts is saying is that the president has been breaking the law and since he has gone this far in breaking the law, they should allow him to continue, since he’s a Republican king. Just gobsmacking

"The Supreme Court is delaying its decision on the meaning of Election Day until the last week of its current term (which ends on June 30).
To me, that suggests the Court will issue a controversial opinion restricting the right to vote by imposing arbitrary national deadlines for mail ballots.
I hope I am wrong, but we should prepare for an anti-voting-rights decision. If that happens, our response must be (a) to further our resolve to expand the Court to break the death grip on democracy of the reactionary majority, and (b) to immediately begin the work of out-organizing Republicans on voter compliance with whatever rules the Supreme Court fabricates from whole cloth.
Democrats have been the target of voter suppression schemes for 75 years and have become adept at rising to the challenge of each new obstacle.
Not so with Republicans, who have been the architects and beneficiaries of voter suppression techniques.
Voter suppression is a blunt instrument that affects all voters. If mail voting is curtailed, Democrats must mobilize to ensure that their supporters comply with the new rules at a higher rate than Republicans. It’s that simple, and that hard.
While we should be outraged if the Supreme Court limits mail voting in any way, we cannot allow our anger or disappointment to get in the way of our response.
We got this. It’s what we do. As always, action is the antidote to anxiety!
Stay strong, everyone. Talk to you tomorrow!"

@newrepublic Alito is ideologically incompatible with the requirements of SCOTUS and shoudl resign or be impeached & replaced at the earliest opportunity before he can do damage that willnot be able to be repaired. #ReformSCOTUS ASAP
@HQNewsNow They've opened the floodgates & destroyed the 'democracy' they supposedly defend. #ReformSCOTUS the 1st chance you get 'America'. If you ever get the chance again.
@brontyman No 💩 Sherlock 👍 But your system lets him do it so what does it say about your system of 'Checks and Balances' & the 'Rule of Law' that you & your coleagues are supposed to be the arbiters of? #ReformSCOTUS

@JamieBonkiewicz @CBoTheEggman In conclusion, and on camera, say, “SCOTUS gave him presidential immunity, 6-3, source: trump v United States (2024). #ReformSCOTUS

Oh look, Justice Alito is talking about retiring around his new book release in October 2026. Looks like Aileen Cannon might be lined up as a nominee. #ReformSCOTUS
"It’s likely there will be an appeal. But that won’t come from Trump’s law firm, formerly known as the Justice Department.
More than likely, the American Oversight and Knight potential intervenors will try to raise it in the course of their preexisting appeal.
Judge Cannon reasserted, in a separate order today, that they could not intervene in the case.
The procedural history is convoluted. And I almost hesitate to inflict it on you. But it’s important because we cannot afford to forget that, no matter his reelection, Donald Trump was charged in two federal criminal cases, and those charges were never heard by a jury.
In the Mar-a-Lago case, the Trump-appointed judge who handled the matter essentially refused to let it go to trial, with a series of highly questionable rulings and a healthy dose of delay.
In other words, if there was a way for Judge Cannon to rule for Trump and against public disclosure, she took it at every turn, up to and including today.
Many people believe Volume II is unlikely to contain information beyond what was revealed in the detailed speaking indictment brought by the government.
But Trump has fought long and hard to keep it out of public view, which has led to speculation about whether it might include new information, for instance, about his motives for keeping classified material after he left the White House and what, if anything, was done with it.
For now, we don’t know the answer. But it’s hard to miss the glaring similarity to the Epstein Files, where it increasingly appears attempts to avoid disclosure were meant to protect wealthy, powerful people.
Why not just release Volume II if Trump, as he says, is innocent? You’d think that might help him prove his “case” and set the matter aside for once and for all. But that is not the path he has taken."

The Legacy of the "Roberts Court"...
#ReformSCOTUS

Chief Justice John Roberts has led the Supreme Court for 20 years now.
In that time, his Republican-appointed majority has completely transformed America and its politics, with many of its most destructive opinions written by Roberts himself. https://t.co/P9yktNthSN
You don't need a law degree to predict how the corrupt GOP controlled U.S. Supreme Court will rule. Just look at the GOP position and that is what they will do. #SCOTUS #ReformSCOTUS
