I immediately made a video call to see his condition & it was really pathetic - Psoriasis patches covered his entire body. I requested him to tell me the date when he consulted me, so that I could procure his medical history & the treatment given to him (& to make required changes in the treatment). I am sorry, I never made any online consultation with you Dr. - He confessed. Suddenly I remembered everything & asked him: So you did self medication on the basis of the "case report" I provided you?? Yes sir, I made this mistake... I am sorry sir, please help me now - He whispered... Actually, This NRI guy, an IIT graduate, called me few months back after seeing one of my Psoriasis cases somewhere. He repeatedly requested me to provide some research papers to clear his doubts about Ayurved Treatment of Psoriasis. I thought he is a well educated guy from IIT, residing in USA hence he would be matured enough not to misuse the case report & hence I sent him a published "case report" He did not even tell me that he is himself a psoriasis patient. In a case report, all the medicines given to a particular patient are clearly mentioned. This guy procured all the medicines online & started taking it - He did not bother to study about the other details of that case report (eg.- Prakruti, Vikruti etc.) on the basis of which slight to major variation in the medication of each & every patient occurs - & the Ayurveda medicines punished him. He confessed that he did self medication with a thought that Ayurveda medicines have no side effects (a fatal misinformation). Medicine was immediately sent to USA through one of his friends & now the patient is alright after 2 months of Ayurveda Treatment. I shared this story because Many people request me to share the line of treatment I use to treat these cases - I avoid sharing any such information here to avoid self medication by the general public.
