Why should the Sinhalese pay reparations to the Tamil terrorist families? In #SriLanka, Sinhalese are indigenous, and the Tamil terrorists were the (NGO-backed) foreign invaders. By the logic presented at #repaconf, Jews should be paying reparations to Nazis! Disgraceful!

Did you know that after the election in February 2018, the evil NGOs had a conference about "Reparations" due to the families of Tamil terrorists? Why should #SriLanka taxpayers pay them? As always of course the "do-gooder" discussion boiled down to their OWN salaries! #RepaConf

Maybe just me, but some of these can be very problematic. For e.g. registering #memorialisation initiatives opens them up for scrutiny by State that has been actively involved in prohibiting and restricting community memory initiatives. #repaconf #lka @IOMSriLanka @officialscrmsl

Many participants in #RepaConf #SriLanka have mentioned how truth commissions in many countries had a reparatory role. However, we must remember that in order to do that those commissions had fully public reports and extensive public hearings.

No denying that INGO salaries are on a different scale altogether, & also don't disagree with you that Colombo NGO salaries are shitty- but I can understand these victim sentiments. #repaconf #lka
