Right. I’m fucking angry. I’m not an academic, but I’m by no means a stupid woman. If you take me for a fucking idiot and I eventually work out what you’ve been doing, there will be rage. Here it is. The oft-dictated, elite proposition “we can’t shoot for repeal of the Gender Recognition Act 2004 - it’s too far - too hard - would take too long” has been toured round the women’s movement for a very long time and by a set of superior, bossy, even sometimes bullying/cry bullying arseholes. They managed for a long while to convince me they knew best. That they were the ones with the cleverest of arguments and the rest of the people saying “but why don’t we just tear this shit law down from the sky?” were stupid, ill-informed loudmouths. They made me feel that I probably didn’t know enough. I fucking knew enough. I know it’s a shit piece of law that women around at the time should have objected to but didn’t (and they should be holding their hands up actually). Maybe these women convinced you too. Gather round. What if they helped maintain the treachery of that fucking law? Protected it inadvertently. Screwed the rest of us over telling us not to try. What if they are still doing it? I don’t even care WHY they are any more. I’ve lost all fucking respect for their thrashing about on this platform vaguely - but not quite expicitly - telling us all we are stupid oiks, and then when they get pushback - fucking off to play in the Blue Sky field sniffing the grass and leaving us to fight. I’ve been told in an actual meeting - “The leader of Group “Mrs X” is really clever and she knows that the best way is not repeal it’s blah blah fucking blah instead”. Literally wandering around meetings telling bright and passionate women that one other woman - who hardly anyone fucking actually knows btw - is such a genius that her view of this must be trusted and we must all quietly wait and fucking knit socks until she delivers her fucking master plan. Well - I’m awake now. I’ve seen your failure. You’ve seen your failure too. It’s why you’re all fucking off and blaming this and that - muttering words like “populist” and “far-right drift” - and whatever the fuck else you can throw around the landscape - to cover the fact that after years, more than a decade, you’ve achieved pretty much fuck all and the rest of us are supposed to think you’ve done a fuck load of everything. Those of us doing other things are the bad people? Well guess what? I like my “bad people”. They are the people still willing to do the fucking work, get on the streets, fight the fucking men and take our fucking rights back. I say this with my full fucking chest and I’m not ashamed. #RepealTheGRA
