A5: I have embraced gradeless reporting. It is so freeing and kids can take chances and jump with a soft place to land. It is the most wonderful thing. The work they produce is incredible.

A3: I’m curious to see how adults respond when Ss use their voice to critique the status quo and offer alternative visions for what is possible. Qs I find useful: Where do I feel discomfort? What does this discomfort tell me? What does it look like to lean into it? #RowFnchat

A4: This Q has me pondering. I think the feeling of shame about not doing better by “troublemakers” isn’t a bad thing. I think that sense of shame pushes me to keep looking for solutions. Maybe lol #rowfnchat

This is a difficult question--tough to reconcile those feelings of shame and where we might be failing as well as to see a way around it in a system often built on hierarchy. Thoughts #vted? #RowFnchat

@RowFn I fear/believe we are in/entering an era where we will not feel successful and may feel shame-in-failure most of the time - unless we redefine what it means to succeed. The key is acting in good faith and finding solidarity in the struggle. #RowFnchat

@RowFn Q4) Such a GREAT question! I truly appreciate how Carla's book validates teachers & their work on behalf of students. Maybe a first step is for teachers to not always feel like they must have all the answers? #rowfnchat #vted

@RowFn A4 - my initial thought is to build a relationship with these "troublemakers." Get to know them on a level outside of content; relationships create trust, which then can be utilized to better serve student needs #RowFnchat
