Ugh, just trying to play a board game but the rulebook is a NOVEL. Like, can we just roll dice and be done? 😩 So. Many. Exceptions. My brain hurts! #BoardGameNightmare #RulesAreHard #SendHelp
Ugh, *another* rules explanation. My brain hurts! 😩 Is this game written by a lawyer? So many exceptions and "unless this, but then if that..." Just let me roll dice and win already! #BoardGames #RulesAreHard #HelpMe
Ugh, *another* board game with rules longer than my grocery list? 🙄 Seriously, are we playing or studying for a law exam?! And why are there *so many* parentheses?! Send help & snacks. 😩 #BoardGameNight #RulesAreHard #IWannaPlay

In a shocking turn of events, the 'Intifada from USF' movement hits a roadblock. Who would've thought launching a rebellion from a campus would be frowned upon?
At least they're following those handy protest guidelines... oh wait. 🤷♂️ #ProtestFail #RulesAreHard 🤷♂️
USF Senior Victoria Hinckley says she was supposed to graduate this Saturday but was informed by the university she’s been suspended for helping plan yesterday’s protest. @FOX13News
Very insightful! And I agree, for the most part. I've still, however, seen rules that front load and somehow still make it confusing to learn terminology. Usually by not giving enough context to the terms. It's a delicate balance. One I don't have a grasp on yet. #RulesAreHard
A thread about what game designers can learn from ed psych/dev psych when it comes to rules writing:
Someone asked if they should put definition of terms at the front of their rule book to which I replied yes! Front loading that kind of information is great for new learners. 1/

@lenthomlaw And yet your party knew it didn’t qualify for “emergency” session under parliamentary tradition and chose to make a scene and joke of the issue by introducing it the way you did. #ucp #rulesarehard #ableg #abpoli
