But he staunchly resists walking in through that gate and subjecting himself to questions from parliamentarians and making a statement on the floor of the house. A true leader leads from the front, stands strong, answers diligently, and defends his govt’s actions. Accepts responsibility and makes a promise to fix where there is failure. Here, the Prime Minister making a statement *outside* the gate of parliament rather than inside the parliament like a true “leader of the house” does more harm for the powers that be. It sends a message that he is feeble, incompetent to answer the parliament. In which other functioning parliamentary democracy is this acceptable?
