We never plan on break downs, but we are always ready when it happens. Today, the #Samish needed urgent repairs and our crew sprung into action, working tirelessly to get the vessel ready to get back into service. Repairs are ongoing and updates will be provided as we get them.
Good morning. Our crew aboard #Samish felt shaking while docked at #Anacortes. They immediately departed for deep water as a tsunami precaution. That vessel is running behind schedule because of this. All #SanJuanIslands terminals report no damage.

The following sailings are cancelled:
- 9 a.m. Anacortes to #FridayHarbor
- 10:40 a.m. Friday Harbor to #Lopez
- 11:25 a.m. Lopez to Anacortes
With #1 #Samish out of service due to a mechanical issue on our #Anacortes/#SanJuanlslands route, we'll accommodate as many customers as possible on other 3 vessels to get to their destinations this evening. Expect delays, especially 8:15 & 8:30 p.m. sailings out of Anacortes.

#Samish back on #Anacortes/#SanJuanIslands route, joining #Kaleetan & #Tillikum. #Yakima repairs ongoing. We're working to clear as much traffic as possible at our terminals. Traveling standby with a vehicle on route not recommended as reservations holders are prioritized.

Our crew launched a rescue boat, bringing 4 of the 6 people aboard #Samish, giving them medical attention, food & hot water bottles. Other 2 waited for arrival of @USCGPacificNW personnel, who escorted them to #Anacortes while our crew used ferry to shield them during transit.
Great job to crew of #Samish who assisted in rescue of 6 people & 2 dogs on 3/9 by Thatcher Pass. Gale force winds sent a wave over bow of distressed vessel, filling cabin w/ water, & making radio inoperable. Our crew launched rescue boat to assist 4 passengers directly.
