🆘🆘 CHOCO (ID 239872), 1 YO, MALE– IN MANHATTAN ACC - came into the shelter as an owner surrender on 11/13/2025, with the surrender reason stated as person circumstance- cannot afford to care for. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿 ➡️TBD 12/4/25 ➡️ JUST A BABY ➡️ TOO LOW ON PLEDGES TO STIMULATE RESCUE INTEREST ➡️🆘🆘 4TH Chance on Emergency Placement List – BEYOND URGENT - NO ROOM IN SHELTER – WILL NOT BE GIVEN MUCH MORE TIME – VERY HIGH EU/SILENT KILL RISK – 🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱 ➡️ 19 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT ➡️ CHOCO IS ON THE EPL FOR BEHAVIORAL REASONS - He is not thriving in the care center and is deteriorating in the Adoptions room. He is now displaying signs of fear aggression such as lunging, hissing, and swatting. Choco's previous owner reports he is active and playful, affectionate and friendly in a home environment. “Deteriorating in the Adoptions room” means that CHOCO will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 What my friends at ACC say about me: I lived with children in my previous home. I have lived with cats in my previous home. I'm sensitive and shy. I'll need extra help from you. Choco is not open to interaction at this time and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. Because his previous owner reports he is active and playful, affectionate and friendly in a home environment, we believe the behavior seen in the care center is shelter-specific and this cat would make a great pet, but is really struggling in the shelter environment. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in an experienced, home with adopters who are willing to work with a cat who needs time and patience to help him adjust to their new home. ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻 NEEDS OUT OF SHELTER ASAP – Please RT or pledge, if you can, to save this little one. @AdamsPaulGrimke 💔😿🙏Thank you
