This report by Unite ‘Greenwich Leisure Limited - a shameful enterprise’ clearly outlines why such a decision would be a disaster for Croydon Libraries, please learn from your past mistakes re John Laing & Carillion. https://t.co/gzkarmRJqt #savecroydonlibraries

We are all being softened up for outsourcing of Croydon's libraries. As Croydon libraries as chronically underfunded how on earth with GLL or similar afford to take them on? #saveCroydonlibraries #savecroydonlibs

First there was John Laing, then Carillion and now GLL (not yet agreed but looking likely), what is it with Labour-run Croydon Council and offloading their libraries to dubious outsourcers 🤷‍♀️😬 #savecroydonlibraries

I would just like to make it very clear that I don’t in anyway support the proposals being put forward by @friends_norwood to takeover the library building & to greatly reduce staff/space. I would never have offered my support if I had known 😞 #savecroydonlibraries

Tonight I’m speaking in defence of @CroydonLibs Councils especially Labour ones shouldn’t be cutting or closing libraries or offloading them to volunteers BUT my fury as always is mainly directed at the Tories 🤬 #savecroydonlibraries #savelibraries
