@BicycleBenUK @ioisours A vehicle used as a mobility aid on a pavement must be speed limited to 4mph. That should also apply on a footpath but #sharedpaths are a nightmare & it's ignored because speed limits don't apply to cycles. Hired bikes are being dumped in our local park maybe the Uni too?

We're seeing more and more #LocalGovernments and #RoadAuthorities monitor #SharedPaths alongside key #roads. Comparing #ActiveTravel modes on paths with motorised #traffic on roads gives a great indicator of the #TransportModeShare and allows for seasonal trend analysis.

@Edinburgh_CC My son got knocked down on Bruntsfield Links. The cyclist was angry shouting that he'd used his bell, given fair warning and askedbif he was "Deaf or something." My son is profoundly Deaf. So yes, #SlowRightDown and don't make assumptions. #SharedPaths
