It's Guillain-Barré Syndrome awareness month, so I wanted to take some time to post some photos from my journey. At my worst, I was paralysed from the neck down and was, to use their words, deteriorating by the day. I had to learn to walk, talk, write, eat etc. from scratch. I was told it was unlikely I'd walk out of rehab on my own two feet. 6 months later, I did exactly that. I'll always have long term side effects, and even 7 years later, I'm not quite where I want to be, but I'm always thankful that I can walk at all 🩵
