Was shopping at @lanebryant well meaning (I assume) salesperson says "no dear I don't think that's for you" A. I'm an adult B. No one asked C. Way to not only ruin my day (I thought I was cute) but ruin your sale. Do better. #shoppingwhilefat #myob

I hate shopping. It just does a number on my #selfofsteam and my psyche. I feel so emotionally abused afterwards. Like, why is it so hard to find clothes that fit and clothes that fit but don't cost the equivalent of a fricking loaded Brinks truck?! #shoppingwhilefat

#shoppingwhilefat Fat tax. Always, ALWAYS fat tax. Items can cost anywhere between $10 and $100 more. But there is no industry standard and no way to tell what you're ACTUALLY paying for.

#shoppingwhilefat Geek culture is intensely hostile to fat women. Men's sizes in fan-related clothing frequently go up to size 5XL or even higher. Women are lucky if sizes reach XL, and generally said XL is so small it might as well be a junior's.

#shoppingwhilefat I can buy my husband an XL t-shirt from LITERALLY ANYWHERE and it will always fit him. My own tops range wildly from XL to 5XL depending on where I got them from.
