In #DynamoDB #singleTableDesign Is there a way of checking that an item collection exist while calling putItem?
Lets say you have an Event and add a Talk to it.
They live in the same item collection and have the same PK.
Can I check in putItem that the collection (PK) exist?

But seriously, a ULID or a KSUID can be a meaningful sort key within a partition if you want date-sortability, but don't want to use a ISO 8601 date as the record identifier.
