Peter works on A John works on B John doesn’t work on A, but that doesn’t mean that John does not work, since work = A+B #smlmath

🔵 makes $100X in ads; 🔴 has 1% of 🔵’s traffic; 🔴 and 🔵 have similar demographics; An ad network intended to get 🔵’s business should be able to show that they can at least get $ X in the same period. #sml2sml #smlmath Happy to test with 🔴. Not going to test with 🔵. Mostly, no time, and no guarantee.

I used to scan my notebooks. They’re things I want to remember thinking about. 2007 was when the SML identity (the three circles), so you’ll see glimpses of those concepts here, expressed with #SMLMath — this is the notation I use when I talk to myself. It’s also how ideas are expressed in my head — as clusters of network nodes and logic. Usually, I would get the small Moleskine with graph paper only. But sometimes bookstores would sell these old calendars from the years before. I don’t mind — it’s paper. So I would buy them at 75% off. Notes from May 2007 1. Synergy Design = Usability Tech = Longevity Commerical Value = Strategy 2. Everything = communication Sounds like… Feels like… Looks like… Smells like… Tastes like… 3. Programming = translation English -> Logic -> Java / C# 4. Tech Lifecycle Edu -> Com -> Org, t=10 Education, 10 years -> into Commercial, 10 years -> into Non-profit 5. Time = ultimate currency Life = Time #smlhistory #sml2sml #smlphil #crazyisgood #smlsynergy #smlnotebook

Notes from May 2007

1. Synergy

Design = Usability
Tech = Longevity
Commerical Value = Strategy

2. Everything = communication

Sounds like…
Feels like…
Looks like…
Smells like…
Tastes like…

3. Programming = translation

English -> Logic -> Java / C#

4. Tech Lifecycle

Edu -> Com -> Org, t=10

Education, 10 years
-> into Commercial, 10 years
-> into Non-profit

5. Time = ultimate currency

Life = Time

I’m sorry that my tenses make no sense. We don’t use tenses. I just randomly put different tenses in my sentences because I think visually. I mostly think in logic and math. Visually. A bit like this: Sentence != sense See how succinct it is? 😅 #crazyisgood #smlmath #sml2sml

Imagine: you want to achieve 🔵 If you say 🟠, you will get 🔵 If you say 🟣, you won’t get 🔵 Why would you insist on 🟣? Why? Why create conditions for yourself to fail? Think about it. It’s illogical. Be goal oriented please. #notallcrazyisgood #sml2sml #smlmath

We appreciate all the kids who learn the ways of #SMLMath quickly. Gold star! ⭐️ #crazyisgood K hates it when he’s being referred to as a “kid” — remember, when you’re talking to someone 20 years older, you’ll always be a kid. Even when you’re 60.
