This was Marine Sgt. Tyler Ziegel and his new wife in October 2006 on their wedding day. Do they look like happy newlyweds? No? Being deployed to Iraq stole that from him. They ended up divorcing. The VA underpaid him and then he ended up overdosing on a combination of morphine and alcohol. He would be my age now. Probably enjoying his life with his family. The way it should have been. Instead, he lost all that in a Godforsaken desert far away from home. So no, pardon me if I don't pretend like Dick Cheney was a good man. I won't pretend like he wasn't the most destructive man in my lifetime. Rest in peace, Tyler.
