आपको याद होंगी लोकगायिका कमला देवी वही जिनकी सधी हुई आवाज़ ने Coke Studio में गूंजते हुए पूरे देश को कुमाऊँ की मिट्टी की खुशबू से भर दिया था।
जिन्होंने अपने लोकगीतों से उत्तराखंड का नाम रोशन किया, हमारी परंपराओं को मंचों से जोड़ दिया।

Kamla Devi, a 50-year-old folk singer from Uttarakhand, is making history! As the first folk artist from #Uttarakhand state to be invited to Coke Studio Bharat Season 2, she's ready to showcase her powerful voice and passion for preserving Kumaoni culture on a global platform. ✨
Despite facing challenges like living in a humble mud house and relying on her husband's daily wages, Kamla's dedication to her craft is unwavering. Inspired by her father, a traditional "Jagar" singer, she learned the art form and kept it alive through local performances and state-organized events.
"Even after financial difficulties, I never stopped singing," she says. "It's my passion." This passion shines through in her commitment to using traditional tunes, ensuring authenticity in her music.
