@NormaFoleyTD1 is continuing with her claims of ‘misinformation’. We will write to Foley to request what part of the leaflet was inaccurate and provide evidence to her. She obviously isn’t in touch with what’s happening in the classroom. Perhaps Foley will meet with the whistleblower who did an SPHE info session in Tralee two weeks ago. Regrettably, Foley did not turn up to that event.

I've noticed that DCU have once again updated their website. The prospectus page now includes a cheery video to dispel any concerns people may have about the SPHE/RSE course, including positive reviews from teachers who took part.
I want to point out something very important.

I advise Parents and School Boards of Management to do a full Child Protection Risk Assessment regarding the content and delivery of parts of the SPHE curriculum in schools. Content coming from the State and State bodies is not above the law and not immune from assessment. Schools and their boards continue to have child protection responsibilities under the law. See my comments in the Seanad earlier today.

So many of us who have persevered over the last two years bringing this issue to light are feeling overwhelmed with emotion today hearing @SenatorKeogan and @RonanMullen raise this issue in the Senate. We are so grateful for the teachers who blew the whistle, parents who looked at their children’s books, the public who have pushed back, @griptmedia who covered it, and the few public representatives who have spoke up to safeguard our precious children.
It’s not the end of it but all means - but it’s a good start.
We knew this didn’t we? This is the content that all those defending Government denied. “Nobody is sexualising children” they screamed with their usual hysterical intolerance. Well here it is - course consultants literally said “sexual innocence is NOT a feature of childhood”
