Played around with #SpriteKit and made a 2D platformer prototype. The visuals were just placeholders made with SpriteKit’s built in primitive shapes. It is lightweight, and a nice option if you are fine with being Apple only.

I've been working on improving the spaceship movement system in my #SpriteKit project, implementing two key features:
inertial movement with friction and a state machine to detect upward movement.
Trying out some different room transition effects using SpriteKit in a pixel art game. Putting my pixel art app "TilePix" to the test in the design and creation of an actual pixel art based game using SwiftUI, SpriteKit and a JSON map array.

👾 El pasado día 4 de enero comenzamos el año con un regalo de diversión creando un videojuego espacial con el framework SpriteKit de Apple, y vaya éxito tuvimos con cientos de devs ávidos de aprender a usar Swift en un ámbito distinto al habitual.
👨🏻💻 Aprendimos qué es SpriteKit, cómo funciona, a integrarlo con SwiftUI en su ciclo de vida, cómo crear el control de la nave, que dispare, sus colisiones, generación de enemigos, scroll parallax (por planos) e infinito, a usar los editores de escenas... una clase que os ofrece todo lo fundamental para que comencéis a crear vuestro próximo gran juego.
