Note the difference at the start of the primary survey....manage any major haemorrhage...”turn the tap off!” Also remember NO colar for children...an ill fitting colar is more damaging than no colar.

2/2 beware of too much salbutamol....doses of >2mxg/kg/min (max total 20mcg/min) May cause toxicity and type B lactic acidosis.

1/2 Beware of causing Lactic Acidosis during asthma treatment.
Take home message..if lactate is ⬆️but child ‘looks’ ok, is getting better & is not significantly tachycardic/tachypnoeic no need to worry too much.
