GM. ☀ From time to time, I’ll revisit a collection that has been part of my journey here…#STOODER style. Let’s see how many different worlds these angry little idiots can fit into. Today: @doodles

Pink Paul! #STOODER

I made a making-of for this one called Paul. Then I changed it. Then I improved it. Then I changed it again. So now the making-of is basically misinformation. 😂 Anyway…meet the final #STOODER. Probably.

Every character starts as an idea. and this one is Paul. What follows is hours of changing pixels, rebuilding shapes, throwing work away, starting over, and sometimes letting software help with the parts that don't matter. None of that guarantees a good result. You just keep going until you can finally say: "I made something I'd be proud to collect." Hopefully, you'll feel the same. music by Space Invaders OST

Unfortunately, Luffy isn't a #STOODER.

I'm starting to get dangerously into this. Still tweaking a few 1/1s, cleaning pixels and refining movements, but this little experiment between animation, code and pixel work is becoming way too much fun. #Stooders

The one and only real authentic 1/1 #STOODER.

256 #STOODERS. But there’s only one of this one. No twin. No second chance. Whoever gets it, gets it.

You can call them pixels. I call them tiny animated troublemakers. Every #STOODER is handmade, one of one, and comes with its own little personality. Some are weird, some are furious, and some probably need professional help. But I love these idiots so much I might be very very picky about who gets to mint one. May the loudest troublemaker on X win.

Those words about being misunderstood resonate a lot in my innerself... #STOODER

Let’s make one thing clear. #STOODER comes from misunderstood. This isn’t about the characters themselves, their traits or what they look like. It’s simply about the attitude behind the name. A Stooder reflects a certain way of being. Not caring too much about whether everyone understands you. Not constantly asking yourself if you fit in with the crowd. Not feeling the need to change who you are just to be accepted. To me, that attitude has always been connected to the underground culture I grew up with, skate, punk and the alternative scenes of early ’90s Europe. Back then, being alternative wasn’t cool. It was simply (misunder)stood. So…any other Stooders out there?

Another completely unnecessary #Stooder hyperspeed making-of. From Ref ➡️ Ref ➡️ Draw ➡️ Pixels ➡️ Animation ➡️ Fixing pixels ➡️ Screaming. Perfectly reasonable process. 😂 Question: If you could Stooderize ONE thing from your childhood, what would it be? Wrong answers strongly encouraged.

In the 80s, we all pretended to be Hulk Hogan at least once. Flexing in front of mirrors. Shouting for no reason. Attempting to tear perfectly good T-shirts. Some succeeded. Some needed help from their mom. Don't lie, #Stooder.
