@MrsYattoniELA @studysync It’s key to ask them to critique & assess their work. I like to give kids a one or two skill rubric, ask them to assess their work, and write a justification for their scores. Asking them to revisit work to identify what they are doing well & what to work helps #StudySyncBlend

@studysync #StudySyncBlend A6: Essay grading is definitely my largest job as an ELA teachers. I recently discovered that the @LACountyLibrary offers free essay drop off services online through https://t.co/dxhUgerfSa! My students had multiple readings of their essays before they got to me!

@MrsHertzGHS @MrsYattoniELA @studysync Totally! I think Ts are really scared to relinquish control, but students are incredibly capable especially if we have provided a structure/boundaries. They don’t have to control everything all of the time, but in most classrooms they don’t control anything #StudySyncBlend

@CalebCAllen @hsengteach Exactly! Multi-day rotation is key when Ts are working with short class periods. I’ve worked w/ Ts that do a 2 day 4 station rotation. Others do whole group Monday & run a 4 day 4 station rotation from Tues-Fri. Super flexible #StudySyncBlend

A8: @Catlin_Tucker Do you have any other playlist models or middle school writing rubrics you are willing to share? Our rubric is way to complex. Need to go from 11 sections to 3-4 main grades. #StudySyncBlend
