Why does #Subnet28 matter?
The S&P 500 is an ideal starting point for financial predictions on the Bittensor network considering its name and reputation. Here are three 🔑 reasons that could lead to the success of Subnet 28 and #Bittensor as a whole:
1⃣Utility - Financial markets offer a giant userbase of professionals like traders, wealth managers, etc 📈
2⃣Objective Rewards Mechanism: Connecting the reward protocol to an external source, like the S&P 500, provides the subnet with a strong and natural defense against gamification 💪
3⃣Competitive Environment: Due to the objective reward mechanism and difficulty of gamification, this subnet will naturally be very competitive. It will also encourage significant diversity of models as miners will have to gather different datasets, try different training methods, and run different model architectures in order to develop the most efficient models 🏇
S&P 500 Oracle truly has the potential to integrate Bittensor into financial markets and introduce it to the economy on a global scale 🌎 $TAO
@FoundryServices S&P 500 Oracle will incentivize miners to make frequent S&P 500 price predictions throughout trading hours
#Subnet28 will function using validators to send miners a future timestamp that the miners will need to make an S&P 500 price prediction for ➡️ miners will have to respond with a price prediction at the given time ⏲️
Validators will then log the miner predictions and calculate the scores of the miners after the predictions mature.
Miners will be ranked and rewarded based on the quality of their predictions, which will incentivize healthy mining competition ⛏️

Sitting at the intersection of #AI and #Blockchain, Foundry Accelerate brings access, awareness, and industry expertise to decentralized platforms. We are exited to announce the registration of our first subnet, the S&P 500 Oracle, incentivizing miners to make predictions on the S&P 500 price. Visit our GitHub page to start mining on our subnet. Looking forward to expanding our work with the @bittensor_ community!
