The claim that they simply “hate each other” is a manipulative narrative that intentionally blurs the difference between aggressor and victim. We might hate Russia because they are actively killing us right now. Meanwhile, Russians, and Putin in particular, hate Ukrainians simply for existing, and hate us strongly enough to invade and kill us.
