Short story. A client used to backup 25yrs of accounts to new floppy disks, diligently each week. Thousands of disks locked in the safe. When the PC failed, they tried to recover. Every. Single. Disk.... was blank. Lesson? Select A: when backing up. #testYourBackups #data

After my 12TB NAS decided to eat itself I was left with "Schrödinger's Backups"...are they good or useless? Turns out I only lost a few insignificant things and the several TB of photos I absolutely cannot lose are all back home again! #testyourbackups
