Today, I had the honor of meeting Georgia Wall at the Hub City Humane Society in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, a sanctuary for animals in need. Georgia has been volunteering since 2013, driven by her deep love for animals—especially kittens, which she lovingly calls her weakness. The shelter cares for dozens of cats and anywhere from 60 to 150 dogs, relying entirely on donations to provide food, medical care, and shelter. Georgia shared that supporters can help through PayPal, Facebook, and soon, Venmo. Her dedication and compassion are a powerful reminder of the difference we can all make—one paw at a time. Earlier this year , I released my debut children’s book “ One Lawn At A Time” . It’s about my life . As many of you know it all started in 2015, I came across an elderly man struggling to mow his lawn, I pulled over and helped him out and that moment my life changed forever . In the book , I reimagine this encounter as if I was in teenage years, pondering how I would navigate such a situation at that younger age. It was during this reflection that I thought of Michael, a young man who in 2018 completed our 50-yard challenge with remarkable ingenuity. Inspired by Michael, who ingeniously attached a trailer to his bicycle to transport his lawnmower around his neighborhood to do our 50 yard challenge , I decided to equip my younger self in the story with a similar bike and trailer setup.
