As a self-proclaimed Queen from Queens, a proud product of NYC public schools, an alum of @nyuniversity @ @Columbia, I am honored to be on the cover of @NewYorkFamily talking about #TheIrthApp & our fight to end racism & bias in maternity & infant care!
It's been interesting (& disheartening) as I read 100s of reviews of care coming in for #theIrthapp--Black & brown folx will comment they were yelled at, say pain levels were ignored & then give a 4 rating. It's like the floor is NOT DYING, so anything above that is good...
@hitlikeagirlpod Thanks! So grateful for the opportunity to talk about #theIRTHapp & the issue of racism and bias in birth & maternity care. WOC-sourced reviews of Drs & hospitals + public accountability + data for social change. https://t.co/uQdMDMQOm6
Thank you @MadameNoire for sharing my journey creating the #theIrthapp. Together, our collective experiences & consumer power can be a force for change!
