If a death certificate is to be obtained, the heirs/trusted guardians of the deceased must hand over the Aadhaar card and voter ID card of the deceased to the concerned department office. Immediately, the field officer should visit them and as soon as it is known that the information of the deceased is confirmed, the action of deleting the Aadhaar card and voter ID card should be taken immediately. This is not only for election work, but should be followed in daily practice while issuing death certificates. It will help a lot in preventing frauds and in the practical work of the government.
