The Usk/Ebbw/Afon Lwyd/Berthin axis is an interesting example. It's probably possible through some spreadsheet manipulation to demonstrate the River Usk catchment has never been in better health, given these key tributaries were biologically dead 35 years ago. The Usk is dying!
