In 2000, there was a new discovery in the Peace Region.
Two local boys, aged 8 and 12, discovered a dinosaur trackway beside a creek close to Tumbler Ridge This was the catalyst for an explosion of discoveries in the area that is now the Geopark. #walkingwithdinosaurs #trgeo

Have you ever wondered where Tumbler Ridge got its name?
In 1919 the Mount Bergeron ridge was first marked on a map as “Tumbler Range”, which was then changed to “Tumbler Ridge” on a 1920 map giving Tumbler Ridge and the #TRGEO their names.
