Anyone who is saying we must ban books in order to keep students from feeling uncomfortable hasnβt hung out with any students lately. Not only are my students willing to confront uncomfortable topics, theyβre ready to tackle the root problem and figure out how to solve it.

βit removes the mystery of grades
βstudents have control over final grades
βI don't have to fight with the LMS grade book
They fill out this form at the end of the semester and I #truststudents do it honestly.

@ronald_2008 That's true for my students as well.
All students tell me their final grade, and why. So the 'final assessment' for me is a self-assessment. Some classes I provide structure for that reflection, other classes not as much. I #TrustStudents to reflect honestly. And they do.
