Our town is beribboned for Hocktide & #TuttiDay! This ancient rural tradition of commoning tithes & rights is unique to us. Tutti poles of flowers, ribbons & oranges; shoeing colts; & cows & fish. Boys joining Tutti Girls this year in an update, & Abbey Road, #Hungerford style!

The Tithingmen, Orangeman and the Tutti Girls and boys have set off to do their duty visiting the commoners properties and the Hocktide Court is in progress.

Today is #TuttiDay in #Hungerford @townandmanor: https://t.co/vgz2oT5P6k AND #WorldHeritageDay! If one of @WestBerkshire's heritage assets: https://t.co/2QKpMcqx1M could be a @UNESCOUK #WorldHeritageSite: https://t.co/LWDB8bjZvx, which one would you choose and why?

Last week was #TuttiDay in our ancient, commoning town. An old rural festival marking the agricultural year & Liberty of Sanden Fee: flower poles, ladders & oranges, ale-tasting, tithing & ‘shoeing colts:’ Is Hungerford really the only town to still mark it?

My hometown of #Hungerford is celebrating the ancient, joyful silliness of #Hocktide today. A deeply agricultural celebration where the importance of ‘Commoners rights, community & connection to place’ thrives ... #TuttiDay @ILoveHungerford

Hocktide has come round again! During which newcomers to the town are turned upside down for a nail to be banged into their shoe and women hold men to ransom! More at : https://t.co/qcBijEPLl5 #Hocktide #Folklore
