I moved to substitute the Legislative Redistricting map for the Utah House of Representatives with the Orange Independent Redistricting map. It failed on a voice vote, but it was important to me to have one of the IRC maps presented for a vote. #utpol #UIRC #BetterBoundaries

The members of the Legislative Redistricting Committee worked together to come up with maps for the state School Board, Senate, and House. They are not perfect. Some legislators may vote against them and in favor of the #UIRC maps. But at least they had Utah legislator input. 2/

UIRC did their work. They came up with more maps after hundreds of public comments. The Utah Leg gave about 72 hours of public response. Respect the voters’ input and reject the Utah Leg maps.
