I was a total nerd too .. high grades, student council president, ran the school newspaper. Rebel + nerd combo 🤷‍♀️ From 1st–9th grade, I was in a tiny village school (150 kids total). Everyone had siblings. I didn’t had so I got bullied for it until age 13.. when I finally got a sister. I do not know what else to do anymore. My posts are shadowbanned, underbanned, whatever-banned… and my fundraiser, which has such a big goal, is just standing still. It’s not only for Defcon, it’s for the whole KORD.GUR detachment and I feel like a failure because I see these guys every day. I look them in the eyes, I know exactly what they need and I know how much this collection matters. And yet my reach here is zero. A meme or some stupid photo goes viral. But a fundraiser that could keep people alive? Nobody even sees it. Nobody shares. Nobody talks. It makes me feel guilty, like I have done something wrong. Then comes the anxiety, the panic attacks… a closed circle I ca not break. And I can not take break because that is also not an option. I just need to break through this silence, but I do not know how. I know everyone is watching the East right now, but the Black Sea matters too. It is a different battlefield, with different needs and without this fundraiser I can’t get them the equipment they need. And I stand here, next to them, feeling useless.
