Excited for Day 2 of #UoGShift - @dr_yanghu keynote on 'Covid-19, Social Inequalities and Well-being: Mapping the Margins', starting at 10am!
Now @JennyAMarie and Robert Willson, with Mazia Yassim, on 'Identifying features of inclusive practice'. Awarding gaps fell during 2019-20, and we know this wasn't just due to no-detriment policies: so what else helped that we can build upon? #UoGShift
Dr Hu's ways forward include 'resilient transnational infrastructure' to protect those who are migrants, refugees, most vulnerable to aggressive borders; bolstering care for teenagers and whose who care for them; age-friendly tech and inter-household bonds #UoGShift

Have just co-delivered a really inspiring workshop as part of @UniofGreenwich #uogshift conference. So exciting to see how sustainability sparks such positive debate and interest in ways that deliver excellent student and learning outcomes. #proudtobegre
Oh, without a doubt! Look at all the topic areas that may make learners feel decidedly UNcomfortable (aspects of #SexualHealth being one of them). So, to evaluate using any words such as "did you LIKE the session" etc. are counter-productive

I really like Giulia acknowledging that some students prefer 'traditional' format because it's what they're used to and working to create choice/compromise. I'd add that sometimes learning feels difficult - what students find comfortable isn't always the most beneficial #UoGShift
Giulia notes that these are VERY time consuming to build, many hours, multiple working days - important for us to know it's not just something to knock out in an afternoon #UoGShift
I love the idea from Dr Giulia Getti that we have the opportunity to build a new and *better* normal in our teaching. Letโs always strive for better! #uogshift
I just applauded in my home workspace when @DHLDavidB noted that the idea of digital natives/immigrants is not helpful. Don't make assumptions about who is/isn't going to be competent at the tech! You'd be surprised by what people (including young people) don't know #UoGShift
Listening to the brilliant @DHLDavidB on bringing the self into library training during the pandemic: virtual classrooms can make us feel less present and identifiable. Showing students who we are & sharing humanity can make them feel more able to ask for help #UoGShift.
