One of the major updates that has been implemented with #DFX π₯3 is cross-chain gauge support and voting with #veDFX! π³οΈ
What does this mean? π€
Well, most of the liquidity pools that moved over from V2 to π₯3 all have 'gauges' now with a 'vote based weight' (%).
Note: This is only for the stablecoin LPs that previously existed. All new LPs that are created will have to go through a proposal process on our forum page before being put up for a vote on snapshot to receive DFX emissions. π€
These 'gauges' receive $DFX emissions every 7 days (Thursday to Thursday at 00:00 UTC, 7PM EST) based off the number of votes they receive from the previous voting round (also know as an EPOCH).
As you can see from the 'Gauges' image above, a majority of the votes went to @circle's #EURC/#USDC LP. So this liquidity pool will be receiving about 56% of ALL #DFX emissions for this EPOCH. π³
Note: Once you have voted, you cant change your vote for 10 days.
How can issuers get increased participation / usage on their stablecoin? π€
@PayTrie for example (Issuer of CADC) was the first stablecoin issuer to maximize participation on the #CADC/#USDC LP on #Polygon! They did this by offering 1k $CADC ($720 USD) in HiddenHand incentives for voters that voted for the CADC LP. π
The DFX contributors highly recommend more stablecoin issuers taking part in this and using it to maximize not only participation within the fiat-backed stablecoin ecosystem but also the usage for your individual stablecoin you are trying to grow! π±

Update: [DIP-23] Incentivizing a #DFX/#WETH LP on #Arbitrum has failed to pass. β
The proposal only failed because there wasn't enough votes casted to pass the 15% threshold of all available #veDFX (245,777). π³οΈ
Since there was no negative feedback or votes cast against the prop, the protocol will be waiting roughly a week (7 days) and resubmitting the proposal with no changes.
We understand since yesterday was a holiday, it was probably not the best time to finish strong with max voting power. However, moving forward we hope to see as much participation as possible to keep the protocol continuously ahead. π―
