Nếu ae là newbie mới tham gia vào thị trường #Defi thì có một cơ chế mình thấy khá là hay ho muốn chia sẻ cho ae đó là cơ chế ve token.
Nguồn gốc của thuật ngữ này là từ dự án Curve Finace. #Vetoken là viết tắt của vote escrow token - một loại token kết hợp giữa việc bỏ phiếu và stake dưới dạng lock asset trong một khoảng thời gian nhất định, khuyến khích người dùng nắm giữ token càng lâu thì phần quyền lợi nhận về càng cao hơn ở các hoạt động như stake token, farm thanh khoản,... đồng thời giúp giảm áp lực bán.
Ví dụ ở Curve Finance khi ae khóa $CRV thì sẽ nhận lại $veCRV tỉ lệ thuận với thời gian khóa và vetoken này đóng vai trò giống như một biên lai giao dịch chứ không dùng để giao dịch, di chuyển hay thế chấp.
Tuy nhiên với cơ chế burn $Vetoken theo thời gian và giá trị của quyền biểu quyết càng giảm. Điều này khuyến khích các dự án tìm cách hối lộ veToken holder nhằm tìm cách đổi lấy phiểu bầu nhằm giảm quyền khai thác pool thanh khoản. Curve wars tranh giành thanh khoản.
Tại sao vetoken lại không thể giao dịch mua bán?
Để trả lời cho câu hỏi trên thì mình sẽ kể về history của vetoken.
#Curve finane là một trong những dự án Defi đầu tiên và là pool thanh khoản ETH lớn nhất.
Trước khi có cơ chế veToken thì $CRV được sử dụng để làm phần thưởng cho những người cung cấp thanh khoản. Tuy nhiên lượng $CRV được emmission quá lớn dẫn tới token này bị lạm phát và đã chia hơn 150 lần bởi cơ chế khuyến khích thanh khoản yếu kém của mình.
Sau đó dự án sửa lại tokenomic của mình và vetoken ra đời kết hợp Base, Metapool và Pool Factory. Nói một cách đơn giản là mô hình này cho phép dự án có thể tạo Pool thanh khoản trên Curve một cách Permissionless và tận dụng nguồn thanh khoản khổng lồ từ Curve để đảm bảo token cho dự án.
Điều này giúp chức năng quản trị của token Curve trở nên vô cùng mạnh mẽ và Curve Wars là một cuộc chiến sinh ra từ nhu cầu sở hữu $CRV để stake và lock nhận về veCRV nhằm cải thiện yield từ việc cung cấp thanh khoản trên Curve thông qua token veCRV.
Nogiaf ra cuộc chiến thanh khoản giữa các stablecoin dựa trên Yield đến từ reward của Curve để đảm bảo giá trị cho Stablecoin của mình và cuối cùng cái tên nổi bật nhất trở thành kẻ chiến thắng là Convex Finance khi đã giành được hơn 50% phiếu bầu #veCRV.
Ngoài ra thì #Balancer cũng là một trong những bể thanh khoản lớn sử dụng cơ chế này mà ae có thể tham khảo thêm.
