While it is disheartening to read that @DIADetroit has strayed from its pathbreaking #visitorcentered, #communitybased practices and interpretive innovations as the world moves on with the work of #decolonization, I applaud @AndreaMontielS’s courage & clarity. Brava!
Today, I resign, here is my letter: https://t.co/MJXF98f9ik #musetech
#UX #MuseumsCollection #Museovation
i made this for a presentation i know it's an oversimplification
Great example of #audience engagement and #visitorcentered approach during #COVID19 #MuseumFromHome initiative @GGerrichhauzen @HistoriaEuropa

Big thanks, @magmidd!! We 💚 our new sign as the Nasher Museum plans a bathroom update to create a non-gendered space for non-binary folx, families with young kids, and adults with care partners! I am excited to see museums creating more inclusive spaces. 🎉🎉🎉 #visitorcentered
Spent 2 inspiring days at #aami2019 with amazing @ArtMuseumInterp colleagues @DIADetroit! You all left me reenergized and proud of the important role we play in moving art museums forward toward more inclusive and relevant museum practices #visitorcentered
It’s been an amazing 2 years of #visitorexperience #musetech #museumeval #mentorship by @lhmann, and I love how our calls always result in my desk covered in post-it’s of ideas, questions, and next steps. @FranklyGW #visitorcentered
@artstuffmatters Another thing all those art history & theory courses don’t address is the needs of actual museum visitors—not to mention those who are too alienated or intimidated to set their foot in our door! #visitorcentered #museums
@artstuffmatters calls out a potential pitfall of being overly #visitorcentered : coddling #museumaudiences by skirting issues of #racism #oppression and #privilege -- not calling them out by name. https://t.co/p3WNMn3Zyr
Old #mcn25 meets new #MCN2017: old tech #geekspeak has given way to empathic #communication with #inclusive, #visitorcentered goal + smarts re the #backend. Next goal: x-dept teams wkg in a non-hierarchical way. @margienchargie @prairietrawler @tailspeterson @tshah @chelchelseas
Listen to how visitors talk about your spaces. #visitorcentered #datadriven @museums365 Yes! 🙌🏻 #MCN2017-27
@Ebelien & @caro_ft describe how we collaborated & remained #visitorcentered in @fabrique redesign of @gardnermuseum website via journey mapping & user testing. #MCN2017-W17
This should be popular. Immersive environments win over museum visitors. #museums #visitorcentered

Food #museums are a slow moving trend. Perhaps a natural fit to #visitorcentered museum experiences. @AAMers
