A5 I am a big fan of @juttatrevira's work including #ATAG2. As the #We4Authors study determined, many #a11y issues are caused because authors are not given enough guidance. #Authors should not need to be accessibility experts. Happy that #Drupal was able 2 incorporate it #AXSChat

Q5 @W3C #ATAG #AuthoringTools Accessibility Guidelines add value when implemented correctly. Why is it so important for the owners of content creation platforms (authoring tools) to include ATAG? #A11Y #DisabilityTwitter #AXSChat

A5 Absolutely! ATAG Part A & B would both help improve the experience of authors, but also everyone else. Such a great way to reduce the costs of accessibility. A related project is #We4Authors https://t.co/xYc9GNtlZw which was previously on #AXSChat

Q4 many people are aware of WCAG (Web content) but content is created through authoring tools so couldn’t we argue that ATAG (Authoring Tools) guidelines have greater potential for making the web accessible by making it harder to publish inaccessible stuff. #AXSChat

Where and when is automation useful for #accessibility ? Well, for example in authoring tools. I am blogging for @G3ict about the EU-funded #We4Authors #FEAT project, were we have developed templates that are accessible by default, to support web authors https://t.co/yLBYTypDAS
