Just as important as who should be there is who must stay out. Anyone who has been deeply tied to the broken political system, anyone who has benefitted from its corruption, anyone who has actively silenced protests or ignored public pain, cannot be part of this process. Transitional justice is not just about fixing institutions. It’s about ensuring those who harmed the country are not the ones trusted to fix it. The growing silence from some political corners reflects a deeper fear. The fear that power is no longer being negotiated in backrooms but reimagined in the streets. That for the first time in a long time, the people are not asking to be led, they are choosing to lead. This shift does not come with loud slogans. It comes with clarity, planning, and focus.
