This is what the headline should have read but no one. NO ONE wanted to know. A police officer sprayed Tyson using a canister of bite back spray and triggered the button on the control shield. The spark reacted to the butane gas from the canister that created an immediate combustible mix setting Tyson on fire. Under oath the dog handler stated he had not received training in the use of bite back and a control shield together nor was he ever made aware that bite back contained butane gas. Should officers really be deployed with any dangerous piece of equipment without the necessary training. Tyson by being set alight suffered horrific burns to his ear, shoulder and leg. And yet the press all ignored this story. Every UK tv news and Every national newspaper REFUSED pleas to cover this story. What did Tyson do. Nothing. He was a 10 month old dog that the police thought was a pitbull. Dogs tasered, Shot, Set on fire. Run down. And what about those who have died whilst in police care. Died but no one had the decency to inform their families for days or weeks later. Why? Because under the dangerous dogs act there was never any guidance from the govt to the police on what the protocol for this should be. CHANGES ARE NEEDED that can only happen with your support https://t.co/M8BCirUn0x #animalwelfare #sundayvibes
