Acting should be about transcending obvious archetypes; not only because it avoids dull casting decisions, but because a cast should reflect the world in which we live: where heroes rarely look like heroes or villains and everyone in between- the ‘unexpectedness of life’ #whyREP

“Working in Rep was invaluable to me when I first started out. It gave me the chance to play parts that stretched me and pushed me outside my comfort zone. I could also experiment with characters in a safe and supported environment.” - Anita Dobson #whyREP

So why rep? The desire to produce plays in Rep has been driving us for 10 years. An actor performing different roles in contrasting plays is about the most exciting thing for an audience For actors it offers a chance to perform roles they might never be offered. #whyREP #actors
