@Workopolis A7 Even if you don’t, chances are good that a prospective employer is going to ask to speak with someone from your current job. But that doesn’t mean it has to be a supervisor. A peer or subordinate would also work, even those that have moved on recently. #WorkoWednesday

@Workopolis A5 Since most interviews occur during business hours, you might not have a choice unless you can sneak it in on a lunch break. If you do have to take time off, book it for personal reasons and not sick time #workowednesday

@Workopolis I definitely think you should take a personal day or vacation day. Again you looking for a new job should never take time away from where you are currently working. It will take a lot of stress out of the equation #Workowednesday

@Workopolis A5: It may not be realistic for everyone, but if you can, it helps not having to stress about fitting it into your work-day or figuring out where to hide your #interview outfit #WorkoWednesday

A5: If you are working full-time, there is often no other option but to take time off from work. If possible, work from home that day or try to make up the time by coming in early or staying late. #WorkoWednesday #JobSearch

A4: In a private location, ideally off-site and during lunches or breaks. In situations where that is not possible, make sure to book a meeting room for yourself so you won't be disturbed or disturb others. #WorkoWednesday #JobSearch @Workopolis

A2: Make sure your LinkedIn profile is up to date at all times, not just when you are job searching. There is also a function in LinkedIn to discreetly let recruiters know you are open to hearing about new opportunities. #WorkoWednesday #JobSearch @Workopolis

@Workopolis A2 Unless you’ve told, or are planning to tell, your employer, it might be best not to broadcast the new job search on LinkedIn or other social media sites. Not entirely sure if the GIF is accurate but it sounds about right #WorkoWednesday

@Workopolis A1: Maybe not the best call. If your current employer finds out, it's a sure way to burn a bridge that could have been valuable for your career down the road #WorkoWednesday #NotWorthIt

@Workopolis A1 Generally not advisable, even if you’ve been open about looking for new opportunities. Submitting resumes when you're on the clock, or from your work account, doesn't look very professional. #WorkoWednesday
