I can’t think of an anime that focuses on family dynamics. Most of the anime I watch focus more on friends & fellow soldiers dynamics. My #wip has a few familial elements (there is a found family & another family 1/2 #WriteAnime
#WriteAnime D28: Hate to fall back on the lazy answer, but SFX are a key part of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure's incredibly unique aesthetic. Maybe THE key part, aside from posing. I don't use many sound effects in my writing, but if my book were adapted, it would require a fair deal.

While it starts out much lighter than Doom Valley, I think you’ll find a lot of simpatico with your own writing. Cool power concepts, exhilarating fights, and big emotional beats.
@memnalar @CinaedhVik #WriteAnime D24: To @Pepperdaphoenix, my hashtag game senpai, I humbly recommend Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. It’s not the most creative suggestion, but it’s an outstanding staple of modern anime canon. I think many of the show's themes would synergise with your #WIP(s)!

#WriteAnime D23: Shokugeki No Soma springs to mind. Compelling shonen duels, recipes, and food science served alongside heaping helpings of ecchi. Over all, the fan service and character designs are deeply male gazey, but it makes a token effort to provide some man-candy as well.

Sometimes the anime industry lets a series lie fallow for a long time. What is your favorite anime to re-emerge after a long dry-spell? On average, how long does it take you to complete a chapter of your #WIP?
I created a series of background stories for the different demons and warlords who fought for Talpa in Ronin Warriors. They were great characters that really deserved more development. #WriteAnime
I take the heroic sacrifice trope and point out the uselessness of martyrdom. Characters talk about their issues instead of avoiding it (although they’re not always truthful). #WriteAnime

I kinda feel that way about every ending. Ranma pissed me off for theirs. But Firefly-level stuff, hmmm. I'm sure but damned if I can recall atm.
I've done it, still have the .rtf of it and the god-awful intro. Just...lost the thread. Might reup it one day...

Have you ever lost a beloved show to a brutal cancellation? Have you ever pulled the plug on a #WIP that wasn’t working out? Why?
#WriteAnime D19: Ugh. That's a horrible, generic summary. If you have the means (it's on Crunchy Roll) it's a must-see. The only caveat to my recommendation is that it ends on an AMAZING cliffhanger that will never see resolution, because nobody watched it. @graeci's STILL salty.
