US Large Cap Strategy portfolio had another positve month. Since its launch in May 2025 the strategy portfolio experienced one negative month.
I am participating with this strategy portfolio in this year #WSOT Real Money Trading championship.
I am curious about the upcoming months. There will be some really strong competition this year.
One year ago, I started this strategy portfolio. Initially, the portfolio run 7 strategies for the first 3 months. Then the #wsot run by
@wsot_com
started. At that point I changed the portfolio to a rather broader approach. More strategies and trading the US Large Cap universe - only highly liquid US stocks. The portfolio got second in the overall ranking and 1st in the stock category. Since then the number of strategies increased to over 40 strategies. Trading long and short Momentum, Mean Reversion Seasonality and Intraday Setups The monthly statistics always look a bit better then the daily. So you find the daily once in the comments. But all the big players show their stats on monthly data. 😎 I am very much looking forward to the next WSOT starting 1st of July.
WSOT – World Series of Trading 2025
Last year, I participated in the World Series of Trading with my fully systematic US Large Cap strategy portfolio. I entered without specific performance expectations—my goal was simple: to objectively assess whether my approach could stand up to the highest international trading standards.
The portfolio trades highly liquid US equities only: NASDAQ-100, S&P 500, and in two strategies the Russell 1000 universe. In total, more than 20 systematic strategies are combined—spanning long-term momentum, mean reversion, seasonal effects, and intraday models. A dedicated short strategy set was also part of the portfolio, though it played only a minor role in overall performance. All trades were executed fully automatically via professional trading software by Quant Console.
The result:
🥈 2nd place overall, competing against experienced hedge fund managers and FX traders.
🥇 1st place in the stock category, reinforcing my conviction that a well-designed, risk-focused systematic portfolio can compete at the highest level.
The primary objective was never short-term glory, but a robust and repeatable risk-return profile—and I’m proud that this approach proved itself under real competitive conditions.
A sincere thank you to @JoachimMo1985 , @smartestrading and the entire WSOT team for the excellent organization and support. I’m also grateful to Adrian from @EnlightenStock , my first trading mentor, for laying the foundation years ago.
