@hollowlegs Shred it, heavily salt it, leave for 45 min then squeeze the life (and water, and salt) out of it, add oil and vinegar. Serve with grilled halloumi or chicken, roast peppers and hummus in a pita.

@thomarcher @FullConker It’s more that they’re waiting for the stock to age to keep up with demand in existing distilleries. Have a look at pretty much any single malt, you’ll see they’re all releasing no age statement whisky because they can’t go back in time and lay down more stock

@notonlyforgirls @peterdavies4371 Cash tip nearly always goes in the pocket of that particular server, unless they tip out soda bar back, bussers, chefs, reception etc, which most don’t. Best to ask as service charge/tronc is administered on points system to all service staff if it’s a decently run place

Worst place to watch the cricket - I watched the World Cup final in rural Alabama. My host’s entire extended family came round in Sunday best to say hello, I was in pyjamas, wide eyed, crying, trying to explain what had just happened. They were not impressed. #bbcsport
