@SfwGreg I don’t know how to get back to it since my twitter stream has moved on. But there’s nothing to see - nothing happens when I press delete. And I went back and found the one time order but now they’re both in my cart. Sorry.
@Aliafonzy43 My first wife was hospitalized for 2 months when kids were 2 and 4. I had a full time job and was going to night school 4 evenings a week. I shuttled the kids between sitters and preschool, did carpool duty, made lunches/did laundry when I got home at 10:00.
@CitrineGlitter @jackthetastic1 @Maladroithe Sorry, no. Other than 2 baths/1 car that was my life in 1959 and my father was a low-level office worker supporting a middle-class lifestyle.
@rikarends@kenwheeler I disagree that it’s “better than nothing” - it actively excludes good people whose ability to contribute isn’t measured by it, and enables people who can solve algorithms but don’t work well in a fluid team environment.
@hacks4pancakes Yeah, that whole “dress for the job you want” thing gets a lot of lip service but walk into the office in a neoprene wetsuit and swim fins and it’s all “oh no not like that”
@JUNIUS_64 Please see a doctor. Escalating nosebleeds led me to the Stanford ER and a blood cancer diagnosis. And by that time I’d incurred heart damage. Don’t wait.
