If you were a corrupt politician/official/crooked businessperson, which of these African president’s governments do you think it would be safest to steal from (no punishment feared)?
The impeachment of @WilliamsRuto, @rigathi, all cabinet secretaries, MPs, and the entire Government of Kenya (national and county) has already happened on the streets, villages, towns and cities of Kenya. No other colonial mechanisms of removal are necessary. The popular vote of no-confidence has passed UNANIMOUSLY. #RutoMustGo
Lagos-based Dangote Refinery, Africa's biggest and the world's largest single-train refinery, has put out a tender to purchase 24 MILLION barrels of US crude over the next year. The facility is currently running at about 50% capacity. Supply of Nigerian crude, the continent’s leading producer, is insufficient or unavailable and sometimes unreliable, the refinery says😳😭! Nigeria has also been unable to meet its OPEC+ quota for at least a year.
Naija pumped about 1.45 million barrels a day of crude and liquids in April, still far below its estimated production capacity of 2.6 million barrels a day. Crude theft, aging oil pipelines, low investment, and divestments from oil majors operating in the West African nation have all contributed to declining production.

Why Is Uganda Able to Have Low Inflation with No Subsidies and a Free Exchange Rate, While Others in Africa Struggle To Pull It Off?
Immediately upon assuming office in May, Nigerian President Bola Tinubu ENDED FUEL SUBSIDIES and allowed the currency, the Naira, to trade more freely.
The pump price of fuel more than doubled and that, together with the plunging naira, sent food and other goods prices higher. Inflation is accelerated to a fresh 18-year-high of 24.1%, Tinubu has now suspended increases in gasoline prices, while the acting central bank governor this week warned foreign-exchange traders to stop betting against the naira.
Uganda seems to be among the few, if not the only, country in Africa to have NO FUEL subsidy and A FREE CURRENCY EXCHANGE, and relatively low inflation and a stable currency. Inflation is 3.8% r- one of the lowest in Africa, and for the last 8 years, the Uganda shilling has stayed in a band Sh3,600-Sh3,88 to the US dollar. That though is likely to change, as the World Bank, a leading lender and grantee to the country, announced just a freezed to funding after the country’s “kill the gays” law.
The question still remains, though, why is Uganda able to keep its inflation low, with no subsidies, while others struggle?

Why Niger has one of the lowest cases of Covid in West Africa. It’s the largest country in West Africa geographically & doesn’t have the kind of housing infrastructure or public transportation system that leads to as much mixing of people as elsewhere 1/2
