You can't do ugly things to people and expect Allah to give you a beautiful life. Allah is (Al Adl) The Most Just. What you give today, you will get tomorrow.

Real TBT
I had just turned twenty after completing my A Levels at Meru School. I submitted an application to the Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) Marsabit branch, and I was invited for an interview at the KCB Industrial Area branch in Nairobi. I always imagined that working in a bank would be appealing, as I thought the work ended when the doors closed at 1 p.m. Little did I know that the real work began once the banking hall was shut.
At the time, the bank was recruiting ten clerks, but nearly one hundred applicants . I was informed that I had ranked third in the selection process, and as a result, I was recruited. My first posting was to the KCB Mandera branch—my first time visiting North Eastern Kenya. The journey took me two days: on the first day, I travelled from Nairobi to Wajir via Garissa; on the following day, I journeyed through Wargadud (where I still recall enjoying the best goat meat), then continued to Elwak, Rhamu, and finally Mandera. That trip made me realize just how vast Kenya is.
After eighteen months, I left banking to join Utalii College @KenyaUtalii, thereby beginning my career in tourism. My experience in banking had been soured by the manager at the time, Matheka (no idea of his whereabouts ), who was particularly harsh and abrasive toward me. His conduct made me dislike banking altogether.
This photo shows my one room abode in Mandera, fully equipped with a mosquito net. In it, I am seen having breakfast before heading to work. In those days, even a wall doubled as a wardrobe, as demonstrated by my jacket hanging in the background. Alhamdulillah, Allah (SWT) was kind to me, and the people of Mandera were exceptionally hospitable.
Abdulgafur and the entire family were really nice to me, and how can I forget Abdimalik.
My bank colleagues Karanja, Kibugi , Kigen cant forget this lot. Much older , more wiser .
During weekends, I would double as a DJ at the military barracks, where Major Mbarak—who would later serve at the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)—was based. I was also fortunate to have the support of Ali Mohamed Yussuf popularly known as Ali Tumbo, the headmaster of Mandera Boys, who treated me like a younger brother and greatly assisted me in settling down. At some point, I even played as a winger for Mandera United, where I earned a reputation as a reliable player.🤣🤣 . Arsenal would have signed me but what a wasted talent .
I intend to share more about my experience in Mandera and Bulla Hawa, during a time when Somalia was still stable. I also can not forget Suftu in Ethiopia, across the River Dawa, where some of my older bank colleagues, in search of a drink, would occasionally cross the border.
As always, I choose to remain an optimist.
. @elonmusk the owner of this platform has been just pushing and promoting one thing and one thing only : vicious anti Muslim and anti Arab rhetoric , retweeting any account that is spreading hate and fear against them even if what they are spreading is untrue . He did that before when he promoted Tommy Robinson and known Mossad agent in Britain and he is doing it now . Tweet after tweet , nothing else. You can be the richest man in the world but you are the richest slave in the world. What do they have in you dude? What is the point to have all the money and power and still be a little bitch.
