GPs in England are being advised to make it standard practice to rethink if a patient has had three appointments and not been offered a substantiated diagnosis or has had worsening symptoms

I saw three women today, each living with obesity, and other metabolic health conditions. Not one of them felt like they had time to care for themselves.
One is caring for a spouse with Alzheimer’s.
Another is caring for her mother with cancer.
The third is raising her grandkids.
This isn’t coincidence, it’s the system. Society runs on the unpaid labor of women. Caregiving falls disproportionately on them. And their health suffers because of it.
Metabolic health isn’t just about food and exercise. It’s about time. Support. Equity. And until we start addressing that, we’re missing the point.
